Challenge: Write and produce a monthly newsletter for a non-profit healthcare organization.
Solution: A two-page monthly newsletter featuring news blurbs of interest to Sickle Cell Anemia patients and accessible to a general audience. Created in Adobe InDesign.
Challenge: Rewrite the “About Us” page for the website of an international management consulting firm.
Solution: I retained the informational aspects of the original document but rephrased it to align with the fundamental principles of simplicity, focus, and narrative resonance.
Client: Sickle Cell Anemia Foundation of Oregon – Brochure
Challenge: Write and produce a company brochure for a non-profit healthcare organization.
Solution: A 6-panel tri-fold color brochure printed on a single sheet, front and back. Development included copywriting, design, layout, production, and printing.
Challenge: Write a Project Charter for a web development project integrating WordPress with a proprietary Association Management System.
Solution: A 2-page Project Charter establishing the project background, current objective, a technical specification for phase I development, risk assessment, identification of key roles and stakeholders, phase I deliverables, and scope of future development.
Client: Oregon State University – Technical Writing Certification Program
Challenge: Edit and standardize an incomplete technical operations manual originally written by multiple source contributors.
Solution: A completed 16-page Fuel Pump Systems Operations Manual, including table of contents, safety instructions, system installation, start-up procedures, regular operations, and maintenance procedures.
Client: Oregon State University – Technical Writing Certification Program
Challenge: Develop an instruction manual for a household Air Cleaner, using publicly available sources and a home model of the device.
Solution: A 15-page Owner’s Manual, including product introduction and description, warnings & hazards, filter cleaning and replacement instructions, troubleshooting, and glossary of key terms.

Challenge: Develop a written procedure for painting bare wood, including supplemental visual aids.
Solution: A 3-page Procedural Manual of step-by-step instructions with lively graphics and a one-page flowchart optimized for accessible color contrast.
